Overview

O-Mart is an internal employee rewards platform developed by Omni Channel Solutions. Designed to mirror a familiar e-commerce experience, the platform allows employees to earn points for exceptional performance and redeem them for HR-approved incentives.

My role was to define the O-Mart visual identity and design a series of animated explainer videos that introduce the platform’s purpose, core features, and user flow, from account setup to reward redemption. The goal was to reduce onboarding friction and help employees quickly understand how and why to use the platform.

Design Direction

While O-Mart functions similarly to a shopping site, its core purpose is recognition and appreciation. This informed a visual direction that feels warm, human, and encouraging, balancing approachability with the clarity required for an internal tool.

The logo combines three typefaces: two serifs and one script. The script “m” extends beyond its letterform to connect with the “a,” symbolizing how employees go the extra mile for one another. The rounded serif used for the “t” reinforces a friendly, supportive tone, while the overall composition remains clean and professional to align with enterprise use.

Explainer Videos as UX Tools

I illustrated and animated a set of explainer videos that guide employees through key platform actions, including account setup, earning points, and redeeming rewards. The videos were designed as onboarding tools, prioritizing clarity, pacing, and comprehension over decorative motion.

Smooth transitions, clear visual hierarchy, and step-by-step sequencing help reduce cognitive load and ensure users can follow the flow without prior context. The tone remains informative yet light to encourage engagement while supporting internal adoption.

These videos were distributed through internal communication channels and played a key role in onboarding and rollout, helping employees understand the platform quickly and confidently.

Note: The full explainer videos are intended for internal employee use. Select snippets are included in this case study to demonstrate the visual system, motion style, and instructional approach.
